Shell - The Giving Pump

2024
The initiative, which involves more than 7,500 Shell stations, invites consumers to support charities focused on children by filling up at specific pumps. Directed by Gustavo Leal and Faga Melo of Dirty Work, the film innovatively combines stop-motion and animation, conveying the powerful message that simple acts, such as filling up at Shell, can make a significant difference in the lives of children.

Making Of

The project was developed using a combination of techniques that provide a rich visual diversity. The scenery was filmed and some toys were filmed using stop motion, giving the images a handcrafted touch and a unique texture. For the concept, 2D animation was used, allowing ideas to be expressed in a fluid and dynamic way. Finally, 3D animation adds depth and realism, providing greater creative freedom and not limiting ideas, elevating the visual experience. This integration of different approaches results in an engaging and visually captivating narrative.
